How To Set User Preferences

The first time you login to AFRA, you will be directed to the User Preferences screen where you can set up various default settings for your AFRA sessions.

This screen can also be accessed from Settings -> User Preference

Measurement units

Set the default weight to kilos (kg) or pounds (lb)
Set the default dimension units to centimeters (cm) or inches (in)
Set the default currency decimal indicator to period (.) or comma (,)
Set the default date to dd/MM/yy or MM/dd/yy or ddMMMyy

 

Tariff display options

You can set a default sales margin that will always apply a markup to any calculated tariff searches that you run. The sales margin must have already been created in the account. Sales margins are created in Settings -> Sales Margin.
Set the number of rate lines that will be displayed in a Tariff Search result: 20, 50 or 100.

The ‘Sort by’ default is set to display tariff results in any of the following orders:
-Calculated tariff (cheapest rate first)
-Tariff type (in order by ad hoc rates, contract rates, general rates)
-Preferred carrier
-Destination
-Effective date

 

Email sending options

This information is required to send and receive emails through AFRA.
Enter the name by which you prefer to be called.
Enter your email address.
Check the box to ’Unsubscribe from AFRA emails’ if you do not wish to receive emails from OAG about AFRA.

 

 

Tariff search sections

The Tariff search screen has two sections, the general search criteria and the advanced criteria. You can set these sections to be either expanded (open) or collapsed (closed) when going to the Tariff Search page.
After searching, you can also set these sections to be expanded or collapsed.

 

 

Default search values

If you have access to rates in more than one market, you may enter the market that you want as your default for tariff searches.
If you frequently use the same airport or city code as an origin in tariff searches, you can set it as a default.
If you frequently use the same carrier (airline or trucking company) in tariff searches, you can set the carrier’s code as a default.
Check the boxes for the tariff types you want to see as defaults in your tariff results, i.e contract rates, ad-hoc rates, sale rates, etc. If none are checked, all tariff types will be shown.
Check the boxes for the rate types you want to see as defaults in your tariff results, i.e. weight break tariff, ULD tariff, small package, spot rates. If none are checked, all available rate types will be shown.

Click Save to store your preferences.
